Admission process for the IB Diploma Programme, school year 2024-25

Platon School is happy to announce the commencement of the student selection process for the IB Diploma Programme, for the school year 2024-2025.

Interested students are kindly requested to complete the Application Form until March 20, 2024. You can download the Application Form here, or request for it at the IB Diploma Office, in our School.

You can find a comprehensive list of the necessary documentation you need to submit at the bottom of the page.

Completed forms and the relevant documents should be submitted to the Diploma’s office in printed form.

Please note that only students who have completed 10th Grade (A’ Lykeio or equivalent) will be considered for admission.

After completing the Application Form, interested students will be called for an interview with the Diploma Heads (Humanities, Languages, Mathematics, Sciences). Interviews will be conducted within the period March 21-30, 2024.

Upon completion of interviews, students will sit entry exams in the following subjects:

  • English Language & Literature
  • Mathematics
  • Sciences
  • Humanities

Exams will take place on SUNDAY, April 7, 2024, between 8.30 am and 2.00 pm., at the IB Diploma premises. Please note that exams are compulsory for all students.

The exams will cover material taught up to the 10th Grade. To help with student preparation, you can find sample tests/questions here & here.

Students will be informed about their results during the last week of April (24-30 April), through an official letter from the DP Coordinator.

List of necessary documentation for admission to the IB Diploma Programme, school year 2024-25

The following documentation must be submitted to the IB Diploma Programme Office, together with the completed and signed Application Form, until March 20, 2024:

  • A photocopy of the applicant’s identity card and/or passport
  • A recent passport size photo of the applicant
  • Transcripts from previous academic years (grade 9 and grade 10)
  • Certificate of equivalency with the Greek grade 10 (issued by the Office of Secondary Education)
  • Language certificates pertaining to the English Language aptitude
  • Special Educational needs certificate (where applicable)

The following additional documentation reflecting students’ profile are also welcomed:

  • Language certificates, achievement awards, evidence of community service and recommendation letters
  • Art portfolios following instructions by the Visual Arts teacher (only for candidates interested in Visual Arts)
